Spring has to be one of my favourite seasons. It shows us how we can move forward, change and re grow. Spring is the season of newness and growth.
“Spring is proof that there is beauty in new beginnings.”— Matshona Dhliwayo
Spring is a wonderful time for becoming inspired and making change. As the darker days are fading and the longer, lighter days arrive we can fully appreciate nature becoming re born in all it’s splendour, inspiring us to do the same.

We have all heard, and probably used the term ‘Spring Cleaning’ and during spring, it is a perfect time to improve yourself and look after yourself. Spring is a time to manifest what you want and work to achieve it. Spring cleaning is not just about de cluttering belongings, it’s about de cluttering our mind, poor influences, negative relationships.
Spring is beautiful time where things come back to life. If you felt lost or unmotivated, this is your time to bloom, set goals and achieve them.
There will be days you feel lazy, sluggish, want to stop. That’s normal. But to see results, see improvement you must work at it. It’s ok to give yourself a day off, of course, but don’t start stopping every day. We can all procrastinate and make excuses, but why not try and make plans instead!
What do I want to achieve?
What do I need to do to achieve it?
What is holding me back?
What no longer serves me?
What are the changes I want to see in myself?
Indeed, it is true, many of us start thinking about getting the ‘summer body’ at this time of year. This is not something I fixate on, I instead want to ensure I am looking after my body by eating clean foods and exercising. In turn you will feel better and look better. I find when I eat well and move my body I have more energy and clearer thoughts. If shedding some pounds is your goal, that is fine, set yourself small steps, understand results won’t happen overnight and stick with it.
I am also a firm believer on keeping mentally healthy. So not only is this a great time to work on your physical growth, but your mental growth too. Spring is a great time to declutter your house, but also your mind. Are there things you need to work on to give you more clarity, to feel calmer and have focus? Then work on them.
As a coach, I help people reach their goals. One way I like to offer guidance with this is to set actionable steps each month towards your ultimate goal. This makes achievable milestones, and shows how to reach any goal we must take it step by step. Things cannot change overnight, but by taking small steps you will start to feel your dreams are more attainable and can boost your self-belief and morale.
You will have many hard days, you may hit a bump in the road, face rejection……don’t stop. Keep reminding yourself of why you started and what your end goal is. Don’t let a setback or an obstacle in the road stop you on your path to achieving your goals and bettering yourself. See them as a test to prove to yourself how strong you truly are. When the worries start to dictate, name and tame your fear. Name your worrying voice, and quieten it with your perseverance and self-belief.
I also am a firm believer in positive self-affirmations. You need to be your biggest champion. Each day tell yourself about the wonderful person you are.
I am worthy.
I am brave.
I am strong.
Begin your journey to live your best life, change things in your life that no longer serve you, set a goal and make small, attainable steps and make the transition to happier, healthier you.
